About Us
Pride of Bridgeport was formed in late 2022 to provide athletes from Bridgeport, CT and the surrounding area a chance to compete beyond the high school season. The Original 9 members of POB are Amory Beckford, Amadeus Bonilla, Deandre Duncan, Daniel Echeverri, Michael Hemmings, Melissa Jaco, Deaaron Moten, Kyle Nedrick, and Zanae Worgs. They competed in only two meets during the first Indoor season - East Coast Invitational in Boston and the Nike Indoor National Championships in NYC. The success and pride the athletes felt was contagious. In three short months the team has grown to over 30 athletes from 8 different High Schools. The opportunity to compete WITH the best of Connecticut, rather than against each other, is an exciting opportunity for these exceptional athletes.
